Career Opportunity- Early Interventionist (Ed Tech III)

Mid-Coast Maine’s premier early childhood education provider, Broadreach Family & Community Services, is currently seeking qualified conscientious applicants to fill a part time Early Interventionist position in Belfast. As an Early Interventionist, you will be responsible for providing classroom support to children to meet their IEP goals, conducting one-on-one or small group instruction, performing classroom management, completing daily data collection and documentation in a literacy rich, inclusive early childhood classroom under the direction of the classroom teacher and Special Education Services Coordinator.

Successful applicants will possess:

  • A current Maine Ed Tech III certification or provide documentation that they have at least 90 college credit hours and are eligible for Maine Department of Education certification as an Ed Tech III
  • Satisfactory results of criminal history records check
  • Current CPR/ First Aid certification
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with preschool aged children
  • A pleasant and helpful demeanor
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies, including clients, employees, board members, regulatory agencies, and the community at large
  • Exceptional communication skills, including oral, in writing, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional decision making, problem solving skills, time management, organization and prioritization skills.

Behavioral Health Professional Certification is required within one year of hire. We would prefer that you have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and experience providing inclusive developmentally appropriate practices, special education expertise in early intervention, and familiarity with High Scope Curriculum and the CDS system. Career Opportunity- Full Time Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist is an integral part of the BHHO (Behavioral Health Home Organization) interdisciplinary team. The Peer Support Specialist combines their own experience as a person living with a mental health diagnosis and the philosophy and values of the Intentional Peer Support Model to support other adults who struggle with mental illness. The Peer Support Specialist will provide emotional support, problem solving, and information to other adults with emotional, behavioral, and physical health needs across the Knox and Waldo County service area. The identified candidate will provide peer support in one-on-one meetings with peers, facilitation of peer support groups, education, and outreach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) preferred
  • Provisional CIPSS required within 9 months of hire

Experience:

  • Self-identified experience as an adult receiving services for a diagnosed mental health condition
  • Paid or unpaid peer support experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • High level of confidentiality required
  • Satisfactory results of background check
  • Valid Driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of insurance.
  • Demonstrated basic computer efficiency with ability to navigate Microsoft Office, electronic medical records and office 365

As a Broadreach PreK teacher, you will be responsible for implementing and supervising the daily operation of a nationally accredited, literacy enriched, inclusive four year old classroom in Waldo County. This program is a collaborative program with Regional School Unit 71.

Applicants must be eligible for birth through five 081 Maine Teaching Credential. A 282 Early Childhood Special Education endorsement is preferred.

Experience and Skill Requirements:  The following experience and skills are considered essential:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching preschool-age children.

Broadreach has an immediate opening for a full time Parent Partner position in Waldo County, that will be based in Belfast. You will use a Peer Support model in working with families to increase child safety and decrease family stressors, while utilizing your own personal experiences. Personal experience navigating through the child welfare system is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Parent Partners will provide 1:1 coaching and emotional support to parents on their caseload by sharing their story.
  • Meet with parents in their homes 7-10 hours per month.
  • Facilitate group workshops for parents currently working on reunification.
  • Facilitate Preventative Family Team Meetings in the community.
  • Attend various community groups to represent “Parent Voice.”
  • Provide prevention referrals to families in need of assistance.
  • Accompany parents to court for support.

Requirements:

  • Experience having been a parent in, and basic knowledge of, the Department’s Child Welfare System.
  • Experience working in a Human Services setting with families in a supportive role is preferred.
  • Experience working with people of diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds is helpful.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies, including parents, children, regulatory agencies, and the community at large.
  • Effective communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Career Opportunity- Regional CPPC Project Coordinator

Broadreach Family & Community Services has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Regional Project Coordinator to support the expansion of “Community Partnerships for Protecting Children” (CPPC) in Waldo, Knox,  Lincoln, and Sagadahoc Counties.

This position is a community leadership role, responsible for:  promoting the CPPC goals and objectives of the State, region, and target communities in the four County area, and organizing and promoting various initiatives in order to develop, enhance, and/or improve collaboration and services for children and families.  This position is involved with a large number of community planning groups, new and existing collaboratives and organizations, as well as service providers, families, and individuals.  Travel within the four County area is required.

Candidates for this rewarding position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in human services, child welfare, psychology or related field, or the equivalent in education and related work experience; a Master’s Degree is preferred.  Knowledge of the Department of Health and Human Services and Child Welfare System desired.  In addition, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including at least one year of proven community outreach and coordination experience.   Necessary skills include: strong facilitation and presentation skills before multiple types of audiences; complex project management skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral); and fundraising and/or grant writing ability.

We are now seeking an individual with a Master’s Degree and licensed as an LMSW/CC, LCPC-C, LMFT, LCPC or an LCSW to join our team as a per diem outpatient clinician.  This is a fee for service position with a competitive hourly rate.  Daily responsibilities would include providing clinical services including completion of comprehensive mental health assessment to formulate diagnosis, formulate treatment recommendations and appropriate treatment goals.  Provide weekly clinical services to a variety of clientele including individual therapy for adults and children, family therapy and potential couples therapy in both office, home and possible school settings.

 

The right candidate will have the following:

  • At least two years of prior experience working with individuals diagnosed with a mental health condition, behavioral health challenge, history of traumatic events, or at risk of developing a mental health condition, required.
  • Experience working with all age groups, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and individuals
    with dual diagnoses preferred.
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, employees, and the community at large.
