Broadreach to Hold Fine Fiber Fair on May 30th

Yarn Diane The Kind-Hearted Little Girl

Calling all fiber artisans!  Here is a chance to purchase some of the finest materials for your projects.  On Saturday, May 30th from 11 am – 2 pm Broadreach Family & Community Services will hold a Fine Fiber Fair to benefit Broadreach Family & Community Services’ Early Childhood Education Program and Services.  The items for sale come from the studio of fiber artist Diane Brott Courant who is making the donation to help support early childhood programs.  Diane will be at the event for the first hour to say hello to attendees.

Broadreach’s Executive Director Kate Quinn Finlay shared, “This is a wonderfully generous donation from Diane Brott Courant.  We included some of Diane’s items in our Stashbuster Fiber & Fabric Fair last September and those items quickly sold out to people looking for high quality materials.  We are excited to be able to offer an entire sale of Diane’s beautiful fibers and related items.  This is a must-attend sale for fiber artists, whether novice or highly experienced. “

For more information about the sale, contact Broadreach at 338-2200, extension 201 or Sue diRosario at sdirosario@brmaine.org.  The Fiber & Fabric Fair is free and open to the public.  Broadreach is a not-for-profit organization serving the people of Waldo, Knox and Lincoln counties with Early Childhood Education, Behavioral Health/Case Management Services, Youthlinks out-of-school hours programs, and family strengthening and child abuse and neglect and substance abuse prevention services.  More information about Broadreach can be found at www.broadreachmaine.org.
