Broadreach Family & Community Services is a private, nonprofit agency nurturing children and families in mid-coast Maine since 1983. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Case Manager with the opportunity of a full time status as the case load builds. You will provide direct case management services to adults and children in Knox County, and be based in Rockland.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum of three years’ experience working with children, youth and adults with Mental Illness is required. LSW and current MHRTC preferred. In-depth understanding of the Department of Health and Human Services is preferred. Knowledge of Knox County and the population is helpful. Our class size is small, between 14 and 16 children, and our classrooms each have a lead teacher, an assistant teacher and additional support staff.

As a Substitute Teacher at Broadreach, you will collaborate with a team of exceptional early childhood professionals, support an inclusive environment for children of all abilities, inspire children’s exploration of the natural world and impact the lives of children in your own community every day! Rates of pay are commensurate with education, experience and credentialing, starting at $12.00 per hour.

Successful applicants will possess a high school diploma, GED or greater. You must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience working with children and reliable transportation are required. You must be able to bend and lift 50 lbs.  You must attend all required trainings and complete a thorough background check with satisfactory results.

Career Opportunity- Full Time Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist is an integral part of the BHHO (Behavioral Health Home Organization) interdisciplinary team. The Peer Support Specialist combines their own experience as a person living with a mental health diagnosis and the philosophy and values of the Intentional Peer Support Model to support other adults who struggle with mental illness. The Peer Support Specialist will provide emotional support, problem solving, and information to other adults with emotional, behavioral, and physical health needs across the Knox and Waldo County service area. The identified candidate will provide peer support in one-on-one meetings with peers, facilitation of peer support groups, education, and outreach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) preferred
  • Provisional CIPSS required within 9 months of hire

Experience:

  • Self-identified experience as an adult receiving services for a diagnosed mental health condition
  • Paid or unpaid peer support experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • High level of confidentiality required
  • Satisfactory results of background check
  • Valid Driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of insurance.
  • Demonstrated basic computer efficiency with ability to navigate Microsoft Office, electronic medical records and office 365
  • Adheres to state guidelines mandated reporting of child, adult, and/or elder abuse
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
