Career Opportunity- Early Interventionist (Ed Tech III)

Mid-Coast Maine’s premier early childhood education provider, Broadreach Family & Community Services, is currently seeking qualified conscientious applicants to fill a part time Early Interventionist position in Belfast. As an Early Interventionist, you will be responsible for providing classroom support to children to meet their IEP goals, conducting one-on-one or small group instruction, performing classroom management, completing daily data collection and documentation in a literacy rich, inclusive early childhood classroom under the direction of the classroom teacher and Special Education Services Coordinator.

Successful applicants will possess:

  • A current Maine Ed Tech III certification or provide documentation that they have at least 90 college credit hours and are eligible for Maine Department of Education certification as an Ed Tech III
  • Satisfactory results of criminal history records check
  • Current CPR/ First Aid certification
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with preschool aged children
  • A pleasant and helpful demeanor
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies, including clients, employees, board members, regulatory agencies, and the community at large
  • Exceptional communication skills, including oral, in writing, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional decision making, problem solving skills, time management, organization and prioritization skills.

Behavioral Health Professional Certification is required within one year of hire. We would prefer that you have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and experience providing inclusive developmentally appropriate practices, special education expertise in early intervention, and familiarity with High Scope Curriculum and the CDS system. Career Opportunity- Adult Intellectual Disability Case Manager

Broadreach Family & Community Services is looking to fill an immediate opening for a part-time Adult Intellectual Disability Case Manager in Belfast, ME. This position will move to full time as the case load builds. For over thirty years, Broadreach Family & Community Services has provided educational, health and social service programs for the residents of Waldo, Knox, and Lincoln Counties in Maine. The right candidate will be compassionate and committed to building strong relationships in the community and within the organization.

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field – LSW preferred
  • Current State social work license or eligibility
  • MHRT-c certification or eligibility
  • Strong understanding of Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Minimum of one year working with adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • Familiarity with EIS and the PCP process
