Racheal Ahearn Becomes Youthlinks Interim Leader

Racheal Ahearn, Interim Director

Exciting change is on the horizon at Youthlinks in Rockland. We have been very grateful to have Youthlinks under the skillful guidance of Director Kris Koerber for the past two years and wish him
well in his new endeavors. He will be missed, and beginning on May 20th, our very own Racheal Ahearn will be stepping in to take on the leadership role at Youthlinks. Currently serving as a case manager for Broadreach Family and Community Services, Racheal has been working closely with Youthlinks over the past year. Along with her professional and educational experiences, she will will be adding enthusiasm and a passion for youth development to the Youthlinks team. Racheal will be working closely with current program managers, Rose Swan and Jess Wincapaw to continue developing and delivering high quality after-school programming to the youth of the mid-coast communities. Speaking about her new role Ahearn said, “I am excited to have the opportunity to become more involved with the Youthlinks team in supporting the youth of Knox County through exploration and creativity.” The core of Youthlinks will continue to be our strong focus, establishing and nurturing growth promoting relationships with our youth. Currently at Youthlinks, 37 middle school and 18 high school youth are engaging in programs that create meaningful opportunities to connect with themselves, the outdoor world and their community. Racheal is eager to continue to support and lead the mission of Youthlinks into the future. It is our plan to expand on existing services, as well, while never losing sight of our original mission. Be sure to follow all the action on Facebook and if you are in the area, stop by the Grassroots Garden, right behind Youthlinks on 420 Broadway in Rockland.
