Broadreach to Hold Fine Fiber Fair on May 30th

Calling all fiber artisans!  Here is a chance to purchase some of the finest materials for your projects.  On Saturday, May 30th from 11 am – 2 pm Broadreach Family & Community Services will hold a Fine Fiber Fair to benefit Broadreach Family & Community Services’ Early Childhood Education Program and Services.  The items for sale come from the studio of fiber artist Diane Brott Courant who is making the donation to help support early childhood programs.  Diane will be at the event for the first hour to say hello to attendees.

Broadreach’s Executive Director Kate Quinn Finlay shared, “This is a wonderfully generous donation from Diane Brott Courant.  We included some of Diane’s items in our Stashbuster Fiber & Fabric Fair last September and those items quickly sold out to people looking for high quality materials.  We are excited to be able to offer an entire sale of Diane’s beautiful fibers and related items.  This is a must-attend sale for fiber artists, whether novice or highly experienced. “

Broadreach to Hold Fourth Annual Mid-Coast Mom Prom on May 30th

Mid-Coast Mom Prom

The fourth annual Mid-Coast Mom Prom is being hosted this year by Broadreach Family & Community Services on Saturday, May 30h from 7:30 – 11:30 pm at the Boathouse in Belfast.  All proceeds from the event will be used to support Broadreach’s Early Childhood Education Program.  A national event, each Mom Prom is designed for “Moms and Those Who Mother” to enjoy the camaraderie of others while raising funds for a local charitable cause.  The tickets for this year’s Las Vegas-themed event, which can be purchased online at www.broadreachmaine.org/momprom are priced at $30 and cover the cost of the Prom and refreshments.

DJ Ryan Albert will once again be donating his services for the event with a lively mix of danceable numbers.  Women are encouraged to bring their female family members and friends to this annual spring event.  There will be a crowning of the Mom Prom Queen.  A “Step and Repeat” backdrop will be set up for red carpet “prom photos” for each lady attending the event compliments of Jessica Michael Photography.  Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be available, including a cash bar through Rollie’s Bar & Grill.   Attendees must be 21 or older.  All designated drivers will receive a special token of appreciation.
